Yoga Classes

Adding yoga, mobility and flexability training to your care routine will help keep away and allow for great freedom of movement.

Yoga is a mind and body journey that has been around for over 5000 years.  Various styles of yoga combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation or relaxation.  In more recent years, it has become a popular form of physical exercise based upon poses that promote improved control of the mind and body and enhance well-being.

There are many styles of yoga, and no style is superior to another. Some of the different types of yoga we offer include:

Hatha: A gentle introduction to basic yoga poses and postures.

Iyengar: Focuses on correct alignment in each pose using props, such as blocks, straps, or chairs, to achieve proper alignment.

Vinyasa: Flow yoga which follows the breath and moves smoothly from one pose to the next.  Can be physically intense.

Power Yoga: Active, athletic type of yoga

Restorative: This is a relaxing method of yoga.  A class is made up a four or five simple poses, using props like blankets and bolsters to sink into deep relaxation without using any effort to hold each pose.
